PAYROLL FAQs

QUESTION 1

I am in my Office file ready to do Payroll but it is not showing any bonuses.

ANSWER 1

Is your File Enabled? If not, please follow these instructions to apply Automatic Update (We recommend each person do this from their workstation)

 

QUESTION 2

Producers are not seeing their bonuses calculate on their entry screens.

ANSWER 2

There are a few things to check...

#1 - Automatic Update
Please make sure they have set their workstations to Automatically Update which will pull in the Bonus Structure as well as Team Production (follow these instructions)

#2 - Policy Information
After they have completed #1, have them go to their Entry Screens and make sure everything in the BOLDED area is entered in (Date Policy Written through Premium)

#3 - Type of Product Change
Sometimes if production is entered before the file is enabled, the Types of Products can change. If all Policy Information is entered in, they may need to reselect the Type of Product from the dropdown box on their Entry Screen. (i.e. If it is a RAW NEW Auto have them click on Type of Product and re-choose RAW NEW)

#4 - Bonus Setup
Sometimes if you need to reach a certain amount of policies/premium before the bonus is given then you will not see a bonus calculate on your Entry Screens. In this case you would most likely have bonuses setup on the Individual Target Bonuses Section of the system.
Your Production Summary located under Step 4 of the Producer file will show you a breakdown of all bonuses earned for each area of your Bonus Setup.

 

QUESTION 3

I can see Production and Bonuses for all Team Members in the OFFICE file except for one.

ANSWER 3

  • It may be that their file is disconnected from the system. If you open their Producer file from the Bonus Folder, do you see production?
  • If not, then you will need to find out where the Team Member has their file icon on their computer.
  • It should be a shortcut located on their desktop. If the icon does not have a white box with a black arrow on the left bottom corner then it is not a shortcut.
  • In this case, the icon needs to be CUT from the Desktop and Pasted into the Bonus Folder on the W: Drive to replace the file on the W: Drive. You can then right click on that icon and click SEND TO DESKTOP to Create Shortcut. This will put a shortcut on their Desktop to access their file correctly

 

QUESTION 4

Is everyone supposed to have the same Team Bonus? Some show different bonuses.

ANSWER 4

Yes, as long as all are supposed to get it. If anyone's Team Bonuses look off, please make sure they are set to Auto Update (follow these instructions) and make sure they are saving their Producer file when they close out.

 

QUESTION 5

What are Individual or Team Target Bonuses? (I'm seeing some on my PAYROLL Report).

ANSWER 5

  • These are bonuses that you will receive IN ADDITION to your INITIAL Bonuses
  • (i.e. If you make $5 per Auto policy then you will see those bonuses show under AUTO on Payroll. However, if after 10 policies you make an additional $5 per policy then those bonuses will show under Individual Target Bonuses.
  • When you are on the Payroll Report you can click the Green Box Above the Individual Target Bonuses called VIEW INDIVIDUAL TARGET BONUS DETAIL to see the details of the bonuses in that section. (Same for Team Bonuses)

 

QUESTION 6

Why do I have a #REF! Error on my Payroll Report?

ANSWER 6

  • #REF! Errors occur from moving information on your Input Screens from one line to another.
  • In the future, to avoid REF Errors, please make sure to manually type all policy information into your entry screens.
  • We have a fix that you can run on your file. This fix is available from the Payroll Report at the top of the screen.
